Malnutrition is one of the major problems identified in many communities in the Philippines. The proposed Feeding Project is intended for the targeted 18.
Malnutrition is one of the major problems identified in many communities in the Philippines. To help lessen and eventually eliminate the problem of malnutrition, the Mandaluyong City Nutrition Committee conducts Supplementary Feeding Program as component of the Mothercraft Health and Nutrition Center (MHNC). But due to insufficiency in funds, MHNC – Feeding Projects can only be realized through the help of every institution in the community; the Barangay Nutrition Committee, CHO – Health Centers, DSWD, DepEd, NGO’s and other concerned individual. It is in this context that the staff of the Highway Hills Center in coordination with the Nutrition Service of the Mandaluyong City Health Office formulated this Project Proposal on the Establishment of Mothercraft Health and Nutrition Center wherein Feeding Project is one of its components.
